Kristina Cook scored 39.1 on her horse Star Witness in todays dressage test. Star Witness placed 7th at last years trials. Cook caught up with Kerry Varley.
Kerry Varley caught up with Ben Hobday after his dressage. He finished the test with a score of 35 on his horse Harelaw Wizard.

Rosy Taylor caught up with American rider Andrea Baxter after her dressage test. Baxter scored 36.6 on her horse Indy 500.
Oliver Townend has finished the first day of competition in first place with a score of 27.2 on his horse MHS King Joules. Townend will compete on two more horses tomorrow. He caught up with Kerry Varley.
Piggy French completed her dressage test with a score of 29.9 putting her in fourth place at the end of the first day of competition. Francesca Davies-Ruocco caught up with her.
Jenny Hawkes caught up with 22 year old Sam Ecroyd having completed his first ever four-star dressage test as the youngest rider in the competition. Jenny won the Young Equestrian Journalist competition and has spent to day with the Burghley Horse Trials Radio team.

Burghley Horse Trials has ended with British rider Oliver Townend the victor after a thrilling finale.
Event Director Elizabeth Inman spoke to Rupert Bell about record crowds attending this year’s event and dramatic competition.
Oliver Townend has his second Burghley title after a dramatic finale.
Townend headed into the final phase with a narrow lead and despite having one rail down, he did enough in to seal a first title since 2009, the first British winner since William Fox-Pitt in 2011.

Piggy French has finished second overall on board Vanir Kamira, ending the competition with a score of 46.9.
