Stallions take to the main arena

This year the stallion parade, formerly held in Ring 2 on Friday, will be taking place in the main arena on Thursday at 12.45. There will be a variety of breeding stallions taking part in the lunchtime parade.

Stallions taking part in the parade (in numerical order) are;

1 Party Trick (2012 Chilli Morning- Tolan R)
The four-year-old bred by owner and rider Nick Gauntlett, is by the Olympic team horse and Badminton winner Chilli Morning. This year Party Trick was Champion of his SHBGB grading and has qualified for the Burghley Young Event Horse final at Burghley on Friday.

2 Catherston Springsteen (1999 Dutch Dream-Saks)
Catherston Springsteen graded with SHBGB and WBS-UK competed in dressage to interntional grand prix and was later long-listed for the Junior European Championships. His progeny are competing in dressage, showjumping and the showring.

3 Bathleyhills Monet (2009 Casino Royale K-Matcho)
British owner-bred Palomino 14.2hh pony by the German riding pony Casino Royale graded with the Sports Pony Studbook Society (SPSS). He is also registered part-bred Arab and part-bred Welsh.

4 FHS Diamond in the Rough (2008 Solitair-Strong Gale)
Eight-year-old sport horse stallion graded with the AES, by the jumping sire Solitair out of a thoroughbred mare by the national hunt stallion Strong Gale. In 2011 he was the BEF Futurity Eventing Champion and in 2013 a finalist in the Burghley Young Event Horse.

5 Forinth (1999 For Expo-Calypso II)
German-bred Hanoverian advanced event horse – winner of the CCI1* at Osberton in 2009 – is graded SHBGB. His offspring have done well in Burghley Young Event Horse finals – Rubin Rialto second in 2014 has won three Novice classes this year.

6 Kambarbay (2006 Kuvvatli-960 Mukhtar)
Kambarbay is an Akhal-Teke, bred in Estonia and licensed with the AES. He is Perlino and will always produce palomino and buckskin foals from solid mares.

7 Primitive Faerie Tale (1998 Primitive Rising-Ben Faerie)
Advanced event stallion who is 15/16th Thoroughbred by the Primitive Rising graded SHBGB. He in now in his 10th season of eventing with owner Julie Lawson.

8 Hocus Pocus (2012 Zambesi-Vancouver)
Four-year-old jumping bred stallion licensed with the AES. Last year he was the highest placed jumping horse at the BEF Futurity and was the winner of the BEF three-year-old jumping award.

9 Opposition Bombshell (2004 Fleetwater Opposition-Dutch Courage)
AES licensed sport horse stallion by the well known sire Fleetwater Opposition sire of many event horses including the former British team horse Opposition Buzz and out of a mare by Jennie Loriston-Clarkes former grand prix dressage horse Dutch Courage.

10 Glencarrig Dolphin (2010 Coosheen Stormboy-Coral Star)
The six-year-old 14.2hh Connemara stallion is competing in Eventing at Novice level with owner rider Nicola Bagueley and already has a novice win on his CV. He also has successful offspring; last year the foal Dingle Dolphin out of a mare by Mill Law, was champion of the in-hand classes at Osberton.

11 Timolin (2010 Totilas-Sion)
Six-year-old Timolin is a British-bred son of the famous dressage stallion Totilas. He was the champion of his SHBGB grading in 2014 and last year was sport horse champion at the SHBGB national show. He already has champion sport horse youngstock in the show ring.
