Lots To See And Do On Thursday At Land Rover Burghley!

Visitors to Land Rover Burghley on Thursday are guaranteed a fun packed and busy day, from watching Dressage in the Main Arena to taking part in the thrilling Land Rover Experience on the south side of the Lake.

At lunchtime there will be a GunDog Display in the Main Arena in association with The Field where Adrian Slater, well known for his informative and entertaining displays at Crufts, will be putting his gundogs through their paces; from Field Trials Champions to family pets, varying levels of obedience are expected and an amusing demonstration is guaranteed!

Another treat on Thursday is the World Horse Welfare parade in Ring 2 where finalists of the Burghley People’s Choice Rehomed Horse of the Year  will be parading. Come along to hear their heart-warming stories and witness the crowning of the 2017 Champion.

For those eager to put their riding abilities to the test, a visit to the Musto Cross Country Simulator should be top of the list. Based on Stand A52 opposite the World of the Horse Pavilion, riders will be in the saddle for approximately ten minutes and will have the chance to jump six iconic Land Rover Burghley fences from the 2016 Cross Country course.

Another spectacle not to be missed is the Pony Club Team Jumping taking place in Ring 2 all day. Come along and watch these promising – and highly competitive! – young riders try their very best to win the Challenge Trophy.

And of course, a real highlight of Land Rover Burghley is always the shopping; over 600 carefully handpicked exhibitors are here from whom some really special purchases can be made.
