Fun Packed Saturday Guaranteed At Land Rover Burghley Today

Visitors to Land Rover Burghley today are in for a real treat with over 60 competitors taking on the world renowned Cross Country course. Cross Country action starts at 11.30am and visitors are welcome to get out and about around the course, with plenty of food and drink outlets around the Park to ensure all tastes are catered for.

In addition to the equestrian action, there is so much to see and do here at Burghley today, including the thrilling Land Rover Experience on the south side of the lake. Visitors are driven in one of the latest Land Rover vehicles over carefully designed obstacles which have been created to push the off road capabilities to the absolute limit, showcasing what it’s like to climb steep slopes, wade through deep water and much more…

And for the first time this year, younger visitors will be able to test their driving skills, as a fleet of mini Land Rover Series Ones will be making their debut. Youngsters aged 5 to 10 years old are invited to the ‘Future Drivers Experience’ to test-drive their very own mini Land Rover Defender!

For those accompanied by a four legged friend, a visit to the Tailwagger Club is a must where your faithful friend can try out the Agility Course and the Have A Go Games. The Tailwagger Club can be found near the Country Living Makers Marquee, as can the Free Facepainting available to all our younger visitors.

The Celebrity Talk Area is another area for your To Do List, especially as this year #BurghleyPony is in residence (aka Pamela). Pamela has been busy filming all summer with a ream of experts including Carl Hester, Sir Mark Todd and AP McCoy. If you’ve loved her videos then you’ll adore meeting the real Pamela.

Another World Horse Welfare pony out and about today is Clippy of Chelsea Garden fame. Clippy can be found next to the Cross Country course at Herbert’s Hollow so go along and say hello and read all about his amazing story from abandoned pony to World Horse Welfare ambassador.

Continuing the World Horse Welfare theme, a visit to their stand at D7 is a must for our younger visitors as there are a range of activities to take part in and the opportunity to win a stunning limited edition Stevenson rocking horse.

Retail therapy is synonymous with Land Rover Burghley with over 600 carefully handpicked exhibitors to choose from to ensure that you can make that really special purchase. Not least at The Food Walk which is guaranteed to tempt all tastes.

And of course, don’t forget to purchase your Official Programme Bundle containing the Official Programme, Burghley Bag, Burghley Pin Badge designed by Joules and Radnor Hills Water. Hidden in one lucky programme is a Golden Ticket which entitles the bearer to a fantastic magnum of Pol Roger champagne.

So come along, enjoy the sunshine and have a great family day out!
