Dubarry Renew Burghley Young Event Horse Sponsorship
New three year agreement announced
Leading country footwear and clothing brand Dubarry has announced that it will be renewing its sponsorship of the Burghley Young Event Horse series for a further three years.
The series has been core part of the annual Burghley Horse Trials for over 25 years, with Dubarry as the headline sponsor since 2009.
The competition comprises 20 qualifying events, with the finals a key element of the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, which take place in Stamford, Lincolnshire each September, attracting more than 160,000 visitors over a four day period.
The classes aim to encourage trainers, breeders and riders alike to produce the type of young horse, which is considered to be the best material to make a World Class three day event horse.
Previous champions have included Badminton & Burghley winner Primmore’s Pride and Team GB stalwart Miner’s Frolic
Elizabeth Inman, Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials Event Director said: “We are delighted that Dubarry has agreed to renew its support for the annual Burghley Young Event Horse Classes for a further three years. Being a premium, international brand, we strongly feel that Dubarry fit the high profile of the classes perfectly with both brands sharing the following values: Quality, Technical Ability, Performance and Style. The Burghley Young Event Horse Finals have become a significant part of our Event and Sport and Dubarry, as the Sponsor, have shown great understanding of the Sport and the valuable significance of the Classes.”
Michael Walsh, Marketing Director at Dubarry commented on the sponsorship renewal “We have been sponsoring this event for the past six years and we are delighted to renew for a further three years. Eventing, through both its participants and followers, has been at the very core of Dubarry’s business ever since we launched our Country Boot collection in the late 1990’s. The Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse series is a much coveted prize to which owners and breeders equally aspire. From a Dubarry perspective it is really about putting something back into eventing and rewarding those at the coalface, often the unsung heroes of the sport. Burghley Horse Trials is one of the most important on our annual Events Calendar and it’s a great opportunity to get to meet so many of our customers there as they ready themselves for the autumn and winter months ahead.”
