Leading French saddlery brand Devoucoux has agreed a partnership with Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, in which it will sponsor Burghley Radio, a new innovation at the event for 2018.
A dedicated, onsite radio station, Burghley Radio will broadcast competition commentary throughout the event, enabling visitors to keep up-to-date with the latest action, wherever they are on the showground. They’ll also be able to listen to interviews, opinion and lifestyle features. The station will broadcast within a 10 mile radius and for those who are unable to get to the event themselves, it will also stream live audio content via this site, enabling everyone to keep up-to-date with all the action.
Devoucoux produces over 3,700 saddles each year, based on 17 basic models, all of which are crafted at the firm’s workshops in the Pays Basque, France. The company was founded in 1985 by Jean-Michel Devoucoux in the village of Sare. Today it boasts over 70 employees, with many leading international event riders including Piggy French, Pippa Funnell and Alex Bragg choosing to compete in Devoucoux saddles.
Commenting on the new sponsorship deal, Pippie Polson, UK Manager from Devoucoux said: “We are thrilled to be the official sponsor of Burghley Radio and to support The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, one of the biggest and most prestigious events in the equestrian sporting calendar.”
Elizabeth Inman, Event Director at Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials added: “We are delighted to welcome Devoucoux as our official sponsor for Burghley Radio. As one of the leading international saddlery brands, Devoucoux shares many of the same values we espouse at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials including attention to detail, quality and innovation.”
