All roads seemingly lead to The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials. The crowds are pouring in and another fine day is forecast for the second day of dressage.

As well as weather the competition also heats up; will William Fox-Pitt retain his lead or will Pippa Funnell (GBR), Andrew Nicholson (NZL) or Mary King (GBR) head him off? Lucinda Fredericks, (AUS), especially known for her skills in the dressage arena and the German-bred mare Prada (no.84) may well also pose a threat to the leaders.

Today is also the day of the Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse finals that takes place in Ring Two. The five-year-old final is underway and the four-year-old final takes place this afternoon.

And in the main arena at the end of the mornings dressage international dressage trainer,
Ferdi Eilberg, trainer to the Irish team and Mary King, will over see a dressage demonstration assisted by his daughter Maria and son Michael both of who compete internationally.
