WILLIAM HEADS HSBC FEI CLASSICS™ LEADER BOARD
Second place at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials now means that William Fox-Pitt has moved to the top of the leader board in the HSBC FEI Classics™. The 12 points for second place with Seacookie added to the 15 points he collected for the win with Cool Mountain at Lexington in April now put him ahead of Germany’s Andreas Dibowski. Caroline Powell winner of the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is now in third place adding to her fifth place at Badminton in May while Mary King is in fourth.
The final leg of the HSBC FEI Classics™ will take place at L’Etoiles de Pau in France in November where hopefully William will compete with The Navigator. In between William will be competing as part of the British team at the World Equestrian Games at the end of the month. “I’m just delighted with my result at Burghley,” said William. “I came to Burghley thinking if everything went really well I could have two top-10 finishes and to come second and sixth is just fantastic.”
The HSBC FEI Classics™ unites the five four-star competitions across the world of which The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is the penultimate event in series.
