Burghley Dubarry Young Event Horse Series - Three New Qualifying Venues for 2010. Three new venues have been announced for the Burghley Dubarry Young Event Horse Series for 2010. The first of 18 qualifiers will take place at Houghton International Horse Trials on 27 May 2010.

Since the competition was inaugurated in 1987 the aim has remained the same throughout; to identify those with the credentials and potential to make four-star event horses. Many of the top event horses over the last 20 years have graduated through the class. Recently retired Midnight Dazzler, who completed Burghley three times with Harry Meade, Kristina Cookís 2008 Olympic bronze medallist Minerís Frolic was a five-year-old winner while Pippa Funnellís 2003 Burghley and Rolex Grand Slam winner Primmoreís Pride won the Burghley Young Event Horse Final in 1998.

The new qualifying venues are Burgie International, 18 June, Glanusk Horse Trials, 2 July, and Carlton Horse Trials, 30 July.

The Burghley Dubarry Young Event Horse Final takes place on Friday 3 September.
