The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials are delighted to announce the installation of an ‘All Weather’ training arena, ready for this year’s Event: 7-10 September 2006. This is the first such arena in the UK at a four star level Three Day Event.
‘The Cushion Track Premier Arena’, located in the stable area, will be used as a warm up arena for dressage and jumping, and is being built by Equestrian Surfaces. The Cushion Track Premier Waxed™ surface is the same as that used at the Horse of The Year Show. A generous specification from Burghley will provide an area for two international-sized dressage arenas.
Event Director Elizabeth Inman said; “Burghley prides itself on leading the field in innovation and improvement for our competitors, and this is another important stride forward. We are very conscious that most of the horses that will compete at Burghley will be using all weather arenas on a day-to-day basis at home and abroad and therefore it is beneficial to provide them with similar warm-up facilities at the Event.”
Rider comfort will also be taken care of with the provision of a jacuzzi in the stable area for the second year running, having proved to be a huge hit in 2005!
