Georgie Spence

A stalwart of British Young Rider teams, Georgie won the Under-18 National Championships in 2006 and then, in 2007 and 2008 she was awarded the Edy Goldman trophy for the highest BE points winner under the age of 21. She was also the first teenager for over a decade to complete Badminton and Burghley with clear cross country rounds in 2008. Then, in 2009, she earned the distinction of being the only rider to have two horses clear inside the time cross-country at Badminton. Georgie is based in Foxham, near Chippenham, Wiltshire. She went to Stonar School and gained 10 GCSEs before starting her career in eventing. Her Burghley runner, Birthday Night, was formerly ridden by both William Fox-Pitt and Harry Meade.
