Clea Phillipps

Clea Phillipps made her Burghley debut in 1996 and finished third here in 2000 with Feast Of Florios. Based near Loughborough in Leicestershire with husband Vere Phillipps, Clea has produced the Irish bred gelding, Lead The Way, since Vere imported him as a four-year-old. The gelding, who is also a grade A show jumper, has an impeccable jumping record and several top riders, including Sarah Cohen and Polly Stockton, recently revealed in Horse & Hound’s weekly ‘reveals’ feature that he was the horse they most wished to ride. Clea has two children, Kiera and Joss.
