Jim Newsam

Ireland’s Jim Newsam, who hails from County Down, scored his biggest success to date in 2010 when he headed the three-star at Ballindenisk with Magennis.

Earlier this year he finished 21st on his four-star debut in Luhmuhlen year with the easy-jumping mare Lara’s Song, his ride at Burghley.

Jim is trained by Yvette Truesdale, his favourite sportsperson outside of equestrianism is Motor GP ‘legend’ Valentine Rossi and if he wasn’t an event rider he would like to present Top Gear.
