Kitty King
Country: Great Britain
Age: 29
Kitty (née Boggis) was the first rider to represent Great Britain at Pony, Junior, Young Rider and senior level.
In 1998 she won team silver at the Pony European Championships in Le Touquet, France, with her home-produced pony Red Alert. She followed this with another team silver and fourth place individually at the Junior Europeans two years later in Pratoni del Vivaro with Leading Edge. In 2002 Kitty won the Young Rider two-star at Punchestown in Ireland with the ex-racehorse Five Boys and helped Britain to team gold the following year at the Young Rider Europeans in Bialy Bor, Poland. She also came second in the three-star at Bramham in 2003 and in doing so was crowned Under-25 National Champion.
Kitty was selected to represent Great Britain as an individual at the senior European Championships at Blenheim in 2005, again with Five Boys.
She is married to National Hunt jockey Ben King and is based in Lower Stanton St. Quinton in Wiltshire. Her mother, Jane, completed both Badminton and Burghley.
