Somerset-based Kate is an event rider, groom and animal musculoskeletal therapist.

Burghley will be her first four-star start and she rides her own Bunratty Rose, with whom she has achieved several top 25 three-star finishes.

Kate bought Bunratty Rose from her previous owner, Hannah Westropp, after a chance encounter at an Irish Eventing ball when Kate mentioned she was looking for an event horse. She viewed a video of Bunratty Rose, who had a foal at foot at the time, and bought her.

Kate is trained by Gaynor Lomas and Bridget Grant.
