Ben Hobday

Ben is based in Rossendale, in the heart of Lancashire. He was competitive from a young age, being an active member of the Holcombe Hunt Pony Club with his little dun pony, Rabbit. He later qualified for the Pony Club Championships in all three phases. After a stint as a working pupil for Hannah Bate, he went on work for William and Pippa Funnell, producing young horses. He became Under-21 National Champion when he won Weston Park in 2006 and was subsequently selected to join the World Class Start Programme and went on to win an individual bronze medal at the 2008 Young Rider Europeans in Kreuth. He completed his first Badminton this year with Uptons Who. Ben is trained by Judy Bradwell.
