Fiona Hobby (née Cassan) is a professional rider, running Hobby Sport Horses, a training and sales yard based in the Pewsey Vale in Wiltshire. Fiona specialises in producing event horses from unproven youngsters. She is also a fully qualified sports injury therapist.

Fiona has been riding since childhood. She was British Junior Show jumping Champion aged12, Hickstead Junior Champion twice and has represented her country in both show jumping and eventing. In 1996, her first season eventing, she was 12th at the Windsor Three Day Event and qualified for Badminton with The Maverick. In 2003 Fiona competed at her first Badminton with Le Chef but had to withdraw after cross country and in 2006 she was a finalist at the World Cup finals in Malmo.

Fiona trains with Jennie Loriston-Clarke and her sister, the show jumper Tina Fletcher. She has two children Arthur (9) and Oscar (7).

Roma ML was bred in Germany and is by the Shagya Arab Bazar out of a Holsteiner mare. The pair finished 26th at Badminton this spring.
