Nick Gauntlett

Nick has been a professional event rider since leaving school. He progressed through lessons at local riding schools, to borrowing ponies in exchange for mucking out. He bought his first horse, Harvey, a 14.3hh palomino, when he was 14. Nick used to do three paper rounds before school to help pay for his pony and was a member of the Beaufort Pony Club. He is on the BE Sports Committee and their representative at ERA the Event Riders Association. He is based near Chipping Sodbury in Gloucestershire, where he runs his own yard which has 30 stables and an all-weather gallop.
