Jeanette Brakewell

Jeanette Brakewell is best known for her enduring partnership with Over To You; they were Britain’s international team trailblazers for a number of years and won eight consecutive championship medals including individual silver at the WEG in Jerez (2002), four European team gold medals (’99, ’01, ’03 & ’05) and two Olympic team silver medals.

The up-and-coming Primitive Pistol, sired by the popular eventing stallion Primitive Rising, has been with Jeanette since 2010. The 11-year-old gelding has produced good performances at three-star level with both Jeanette and his former rider Brook Staples.  Burghley will be the gelding’s first four-star competition.

Jeanette’s other ride, Ideal Sebastian, will also be making his four-star debut at Burghley.

Jeanette is a BE accredited trainer and hosts clinics throughout the year.
